Acceptance and maintenance of wheelchairs

The first time after receiving the wheelchairs should be tested whether the wheelchairs is normal and safe. In the wheelchairs after a certain period of time to regular maintenance, can make the wheelchaisr use longer, at any time to ensure the safety of the wheelchairs.

Calibration before use:

Safety inspection: whether the braking device of the wheel chair is flexible, effective and reliable; whether the opening and closing of the footrest is flexible and whether it is firmly fixed after opening; whether the parts of the wheel chair are tightened without loosening.

Inspection of parts: whether the specification and size are in line; whether the wheel chair can be opened and folded smoothly; whether the loading and unloading, opening and closing, up and down movement and insertion of the parts are flexible and reliable; whether the four wheels of the wheel chair are all on the ground, and whether the rotation is flexible and smooth; whether the seat and the backrest are taut and undamaged; and whether the electroplating and painting are good.

Inspection and maintenance:

Regular inspection: whether the screws of various parts of the wheel chair are loose; whether the wheels are running normally; whether there is any abnormality in the seat, backrest, footrest, etc.; whether the valve is safe; whether it is easy to fold; the recovery of the cushion after being pressurised.

Regular maintenance: add lubricant to the bearings regularly; clean the seat and backrest of the wheel chair. Repairing and replacing the spokes, wheel rims and tyres of the wheelchair can be done by bicycle repairers. If it is a problem with the wheelchair frame, armrests and valves, it is better to have them repaired by professionals.
